I was in Norway from May to August. I truly had the best time of my life! Here a little of everything: 1.-Norwegian strawberries rule 2.-Oslo Fjord view from Holmenkollen 3.- My roomate Erlend and his twin Øyvind as babies, so cute! 4.-Me on a "relaxing" date w/ my boyfriend 5.- Healthy breakfast for two 6.- My friend Asdrubal was in France while I was in Norway, so he decided to take a weekend visit, it was awesome! 7.- Taking care of 2 tomato plants is awesome too 8.- Mushrooms picked at Bygdøy 9.- Norway terrorist attacks, sad story 10.- The soul of my boyfriend inside our teddy pig "Tim Ben"

I am no fan of Gaga or any celebrity whatsoever, I had no clue Gaga had a video with such hair and makeup but a sweet girl contacted me to see if I could fix her and so I did, she also wanted something girly and smooth not as skully as in the video.I had so much fun! Thanks Julia!

Went out with my gals to take 2 slices of pizza, one named Bianca (yay!) with goat cheese and one typical Margherita, we wanted to top off the calories so we went and had icecream too, I chose CottonCandy, also loved the contrast with my outfit! H&M Shirt, Versace Jeans Couture Skirt, Jansport Fanny Pack, Target Shoes.

Baja & El Paisa

So this small international clothing store called SilkRoad sent me a message saying I could lend any clothes I wanted, I chose from all countries but I didn't love anything else more than the regional clothing from my state, which is Baja California: white cotton tee, native american skirt and a "gringo" hat (which is full with pins of cactus so it was my favorite piece of all). The guys from this extremely famous taco shop named El Paisa were super excited to have me inside preparing food with them, so it was a literal show for the costumers.

Una tiendita de ropa internacional llamada SilkRoad me mando un mensajito diciendo que me prestaban la ropa que yo quisiera y me encantaron de todos los paises, pero mas que nada la ropa de mi estado que es Baja California: una blusita de algodon, una falda nativa americana, y un sombrero muy gringo (lleno de pins de cactus asi que me encanto). Los jovenes de estos tacos super famosos que se llaman El Paisa estaban bastante emocionados y me metieron a preparar comida con ellos asi que fue todo un show para los clientes.

Balmain Fall Winter 2010. Even Dello Russo said "When you wear gold in winter you feel the rawr!". I always love Balmain as all of you do too, but I don't know about using the same exact shape of coats for various seasons... Also it was a bit weird to see purple, I thought I wouldn't see it since it is sooo 2008-2009. But I like it, and pretty much.

When you enjoy the music, the models, the play, the performance, the pace, the clothes, the layers and a Fall-Winter collection you fall in love with the brand. Lately it's hard to understand when collections are REAL F/W ones since all designers add shorts and miniskirts and weirdly dare to add jackets and furs. I enjoyed very much the idea of making 1 piece become 2, we cannot afford anything anymore so its a + for the brand.

But this Viktor&Rolf F/W 2010/2011 collection had me open-mouth-squared-eye during the whole show (on YouTube of course). I kind of felt like going back to Sweden this winter so I could come inside a statement fur and make blonde girls melt their mouths while they saw my coat which I would use for hiding all the fat from cakes and cookies with no shame since these jackets are pretty spacey. But hey... it doesn't cost to dream. Leather baseball caps: Checked.

I'm in love with statement pieces. They make you feel good, important and attractive, and nothing better but a perfectly suited dress , for yourself for a wedding or either prom. Go for a one color piece with gold or silver accents. It's not a bad idea either to have a blow out.

TIP FOR PROM NO.1: Lagerfeld used ONLY silver in his latest Haute Couture show. To me that screams NEW TREND.

Goodbye Queen & McQueen !

Mama McQueen passed away the 2nd of February, baby Lee could not handle it so he took his own life the 11th of February, of the same year... 2010 . Most tragic story ever, or at least traumatizing to me since I thought I'd get one of his dresses or scarves when I'm rich in some future, but most importantly I can't believe what crazy things we humans can do.

I do not remember when Gianni Versace passed away because I was too little, and I was not very sad about Yves Saint Laurent since he was too old to be working, but McQueen?! That's really sad for our generation.

I just hope he receives respect, and that we all remember him as a great designer. I haven't been thinking much about his brand though, should it live, should it die? I don't know... I just wish I got something from him, from when he lead his house.

I adore the Minimarket sisters, I have to land in at least 1 piece of this collection, to me it's the Alexander Wang S/S 09, something you HAVE to get. I fell in love with them in 2008 because of their fantastic booties. Sadly I haven't had the money or haven't find a nice deal or blocket or modette market here in Sweden, much less I will find them in Mexico. I think I should buy a pair before I leave here, so if you're Swedish and you're reading this, and you know somebody with size 39 booties who wants to get rid of them, please let me know.

Sorry for late post, still no camera and no movement in Sweden. It is very lame I can't even go outside and I barely catch internet. Still love you and not planning to quit though. xox-b

2009 Highlights , Happy 2010!

Thank you very much my readers! I really wish you had a fantastic Christmas and New Years eve, I really hope all your dreams come true in 2010 and of course the years to come. I am very glad I reached 50 followers from August 29 to December 31st, it does really makes me happy and makes me feel to keep on here even with better posts, let's just wish I get my camera back and finally outfit posts will be here more often.

As you all know I am currently in Sweden and it's almost no light in here, it is totally the opposite as home in Mexico. In 2009 I was in Denmark , Sweden, Mexico, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and now I am back to Sweden trying to pursue my fashion dreams. I was lucky to meet many photographers, models and style various times which thing I really love doing.

We all did great shopping this year in the thrift stores that for sure, we didn't Saks ourselves much because of the economy but I mean, who cares!We totally craved much more into runways and started being much more of a journalists ourselves,we dreamed too much about extreme luxuries thanks to Jak and Jil. We enjoyed fashion together and that's whats more important!

I was lucky to have my boyfriend in Mexico also, to meet designers like Rebecca Minkoff , Thakoon Panichgoul and Ann-Sofie Johansson this year at Teen Vogue Fashion University, I was even on a H&M podcast! Incredible isn't it? I made new friends like Yaya Williams , Saray Habura and Alex Peacher who made my trip to NY too nice and smooth! Thank you very much.

I loved this collection, mostly because it has a REAL summery feeling and of course it has so nice colors and prints. Great idea to put a model shorter than the other, it makes the feeling of "these clothes are for everyone". Great collection, looking forward to see it in real life.

Look at these beauties! And now tell me who looks cooler and has more presence? Yeah. I know your answer. Mrs. Jacquelyn Jablonski isn't rocking here. Even though she totally looks pretty, Mrs. Crystal Renn is rocking the spreads. V magazine decided to put 2 models same height (5'9) but with different body types and this is what the product is, cool spreads, cool styling and most importantly, a plus size-model!

When I see stuff like this I feel a bit better about myself, though I know fashion does not really believe in "plus-sizeness". Although it's more of a "trend" since models are taking a step toward larger sizes (which I know is very good) I don't think skinny models will ever be replaced. But if I am wrong then what will Mr. Lagerfeld think?.

Amazing 20 year old South Korean super Model Daul Kim was found dead today (Nov. 19 2009) in Paris, which is already confirmed by her agents from Next. The cause of the death remains unknown but some source tells she committed suicide. This makes me pretty sad, but well she was a regular person like all of us, I really found her very funny and nice to be honest.

I am extremely sorry for my long time absence and lack of great quality posts, I've been pretty sick to even read! And it's getting better now so I promise some quality these days (before I go!).

I am leaving next week to Nevada and Utah with my uncle/aunt to I donno which cities in Utah but they told me it's gonna be cold. Please I need some recommendations of what to bring to my trip.

What I've thought of are: Warm boots, flat white sneakers, tights , big sweatshirts/jackets , denim jacket , cute headbands , a poncho maybe? Well let's see how it goes...

I actually do not know how to start this, my weekend was AMAZING in CAPS. But here's the whole story.

Wednesday: Everything started good and bad. My flights were delayed since San Diego and also in Minneapolis, but I got all excited when I saw NY for the 1st time. I arrived to the building where I was supposed to stay and I waited there for like 4 hours and then I realized these girls (I would stay with) would never arrive. I called my big savior BIG Mike! He's a great embassador of couchsurfing (the greatest community of traveler of the world) and he directed me to this amazing host called Seth. My life was saved in NY, went to dunkin' donuts and picked 6 to bring my new home. I was there , 28th street between 5th Ave. & Broadway.

Thursday: I woke up pretty early and started walking all around the city. Of course high wedges from Marc by Marc Jacobs and over sized black embellished sweatshirt , tights and stuff. Headed all the way down walking to Top Shop. Stopped by too many parks and cool places, loved watching students from NYU. When arrived to Top Shop went to pick my croc t-shirt (finally!!) and some other accessories , leggings and such. There was a huge discount and my isic card (international student) gave me 10% off plus! Too good to be real.

Friday: Shopping @ Saks & Juicy Couture kick-off event (and my camera died). I had a great time with my new friends Saray from my idea of fashion, Alex, Yaya and Samuel. Juicy gave us a beautiful 25% percent off discount in all store merchandise, driving me to buy a cellphone thingie with Juicy stuff hanging from it (whatever it is called) for my mom. We drank pink lemonade and indulged ourselves in very very sweet cupcakes and chocolate popcorn.

Saturday: Classes started early, I could not attend to the yoga class at 7 a.m. for obvious reasons (too much party after party after party), but had a beautiful morning and evening. I started off with a class by Rebecca Minkoff, shes just great! She gifted us a studded leather bracelet which I'm wearing daily since then. After that I had a tour with Mary Kate Steinmiller (another fantastic girl!) inside the Teen Vogue Offices, here what I snapped around (dresses for the prom issue, shoes for one of the next issues, the new models to be "in" and voila! THE closet inside.

Amazing.. Just what we all girls dream about...

After that I was lucky again to be able to see Mr. Thakoon Panichgul, business school dropout who makes amazing dresses and currently designs for Mrs. Obama. Extremely cool! After that I headed to the Hudson Theater to take Ann-Sofie Johansson's class AKA the main designer of H&M! Another too cool girl, I spoke to her and she told me we could meet in Sweden, this is like too cool for school! Since I am going to Sweden in 1 month.

And to end the greatest of the greatest days Diane Von Furstemberg was there, to make us all happy telling us her story. She was all fun and and also so beautiful! In the meanings of the past and present. Girls surrounding me were bout to cry just as I. Here some pictures of her story...

We all kids headed to H&M party with 20% off discount and 3 zillion drinks and snacks etc. They did my make-up and nails amazingly, the freebie was an umbrella! I really made use of it, it started to rain incredibly much and no taxi wanted to pick me home so I had to walk, no comments...

Sunday: Graduation day came and I went walking all around the city with my friends, I couldn't believe the TVFU event was over! But anyways.. I made very good friends and met too amazing people. Can't wait for next year!

Today I'm doing my luggage for my trip to NY to attend Teen Vogue Fashion University and I am sooo excited! I decided to take only a very small amount of black and white clothing since I am that kind of person who wants to bring 5 pairs of shoes and 10 jackets to a 2 day trip. Mom suggested me to buy stuff I can not boy in San Diego and the first thing that came to my head was the Christopher Kane for Topshop collection. I am not a very big fan of Topshop but Christopher Kane , OMG! I wish my entire closet was full of his clothes. I called Topshop already for avability/order the sporty dress of my dreams. I'll pick it up on Thrusday (Can't wait!). This is how I would kill to wear it.

The story starts here.

Vinilica is a very cool accessory brand from my city, accessories are totally handmade, designed and sewn by Yuyi(Juliette).

I remember listening from Vinilica(or at least Yuyi) from many years ago, actually some of my friends were friends with her, and after many years we met around 3 months ago at a friends bday we have in common. We talked and we defo had things in common (she's so nice obviously like me :)) and so yesterday on msn she told me that she was doing a shooting for her latest collection of bags and she regrets not asking for help to me (if I haven't mentioned I have already studied as a Fashion Stylist @ F.I.T [online] but nothing from another world) so I said we still had time even tough it was midnight and the shooting would be at 11 in the morning SOOO... I asked her for some pictures of the bags and I put myself to work fast and build very fast fast outfits out of my own clothing and voila!

In the morning she picked me up and went to the place were the pictures would be taken, models were easygoing and I helped with the clothing (of course..) makeup, and some models tried their own hairstyles...All the bags collections were pretty different so the girls styles were pretty different too, from tea-party girl to organic and rocker. In the end the shooting was successful! These pictures are not the official pictures, these ones I took myself very fast since I had to dress up the next girl etc. What a nice day, support Vinilica.

Always, always and always Chanel bringing the best of the best, where Karl Lagerfeld in his highness, self-centered creativity and invention in a un-recession world of magic had the best show seen in a while (or ever?), in matters of REAL show.

I was not there but as the pictures I've seen it was very entertaining, models in cute clogs and flowery accents walking trough the fields of happiness where all of the sudden Lily Allen comes from inside the ground to spice it up with her band. Not to forget the most amazing model-chorus ever Iekeliene Stange and Charlotte di Calypso.

Lara Stone plays the never-touched in a white wedding mini farmer gown without panties (of course) as she starts playing horny with pal Freja Beha Erichsen, while Mr. Baptiste Giabiconi is having a oh-so-warm time in front of current "so friend(?)" Karl who also feels too excited of what he sees.

The end was nothing else but a success, marketing and creativity team did very well and people just like you and I will always want to buy Chanel, maybe others much more after the show? (I wonder...). Maybe they we're feeling like spending because of their last Haute Couture show AKA "fail" was nothing else but what I just said. It will be a big transition for us to change from actual goth to farmer girl but we can start craving the thrift stores for the near future.

The reasons I haven't posted much this week are various but I'll tell more of what's going on with my life...

1.- I am about to finish the most difficult course I've ever take and its about physics, not my thing but I had to do it so.. I am studying pretty hard.
2.- Going crazy since I don't know yet where I'm going to stay in NY, I hope I can solve that soon.
3.- They e-mailed me in the middle of the day that my credit card did not go trough Delta Airlines and they would cancel my flight (which is the 21st of October) if I didn't pay in 48 hours, OK gimme a break?! In Mexico they don't open the bank on Sunday! I called them 4 hours later since I didn't have a phone at home (omg frustration!) and they said it was OK , that they would cancel if I didn't pay until October 1st (omg feeling good) Waste of Friday.
4.- I've done 2 of my friends English homework 3 times this week, I'm too sweet.
5.- I've been exercising enough at the gym and just been out too much this week, I hope next week goes better.
6.- YOU AND I have been more busy looking trough real important webpages and blogs about fashion week...

I am very happy with my latest buy of shoes! The most comfortable pair of booties/cowboy/wanna-be-harley boots. They really give the look of the season and I love their simplicity! I know these ones can be paired very cooly with dresses and jeans and everything in between. Yesterday my mom and I went thrift shopping, as we sometimes do on weekends but I was only going for a couple of dresses since this infernal Mexican weather is killing all of us, but as always I brought home something more. When I saw this small piece I was thinking, "It's a bit weird", but in the back it was signed , so it could mean something. The sign says Rachel Gera , and in another spot of the brooch it says 14K and in another spot of the brooch it says Golda Meir Club, so when I came home the 1st thing I did was to google these things.

1st search.- Rachel Gera is a famous modernist jeweler from Israel , collectors seem to be eyeing more appreciatively these days her particular work.Her silver jewelry has adorned such leading celebrities as Elisabeth Taylor and Peter Ustinov.
2nd search.- Images , necklaces and brooches with prices around 1,400 and 900 us dollars!
3rd search.- Golda Meir was the 1st Minister of Israel.
4th search.- This was obviously made with real gold/silver and 1 pearl!

I obviously had to clean it very nicely and I got very good results,and now I wonder... If this brooch was part of Mrs. Meir collection? and was put away after her death? How did this ended up in a Mexican vintage/thrift store? How can the lady who sold it to me not check what she sells? How did this cost me less than 1 dollar?!

Very Thrifted

I found these two beauties at the thrift stores here in my city last weekend and they're both in very good condition! The black crossbody purse comes in very soft suede and the coin purse in very soft lambskin from a brand called Jay Herbert that I actually did not know about, I am happy with these two and I'm sure I will use them enough because they come in beautiful wintery colors.

I had an actual busy and good b-day , I got a very beautiful and comfy Alexander Wang jumper from my boyfriend that is so fresh for this Mexican weather I am dieing in. I got also two pairs of sandals, which I am so happy about, a Salvarote Ferragamo Vintage pair from my grandmother , and a Tory Burch pair from my aunt.

Other gifts include the September Issue , an Igor , cookies from my friend Stephanie and a Hannah Montana balloon haha :D

Inspiration Much

I've seen these pictures from Acne's S/S 2010 for a while now, but I just can't get over them! I feel like Acne is custom designing/making for my taste all the time, so this makes the brand my top favorite and even tough the colors they're using in this collection are my actual favorite colors that I wear all the time it doesn't stop inspiring me. I'll really try to be in Stockholm next year for some great buys. I just love the Quarz smartness, very good trend to start with next year!

PS. I am heading to San Diego tomorrow for some birthday shopping and I also have to show you what I just got at the thrift stores here(totally crazy cheap), I'll update soon!

I know I've been here and there , but I get tired of stuff. Finally I'm here at blogger , let's see how it goes. Cool stuff to happen is most importantly my birthday , just his exact Monday (August 31st). Will I receive anything?

(Possible)Things I'd like to get:

I've planned to go to this new Sushi Bar in my city called Villafontana , where I hope several of my friends and family will attend. My biggest dream is to be able to spend my birthday with my boyfriend , I hope that happens next year!
